Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, Phil Dvoskin has traveled to all 7 continents. His travels are part of his quest to see the diversity of views, perspectives, and elements of life throughout the world. Starting with a small SLR film camera in 1979 and switching to all digital photography in 2004, he has photographed people, wildlife, and landscapes wherever he has gone. His digital skills are self taught. His composition skills are innate and reflect how he sees his world.

Although Phil has been taking pictures since 1979, his images have primarily been enjoyed by family and friends. The impetus to develop this portfolio came from a strong patron response to an exhibition of Phil’s images as part of an Open Studio exhibit in 2008. It was then that Phil participated in the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk - Baltimore 2008. Two of his images were selected in the top 4 as juried by Stacie Morris. Prior to that he has posted on Flickr and has had photos selected to illustrate stories in Scientific American. His photographs have been featured on the travel website europe-cities.com and his photographs are displayed in permanent exhibit at the Kolmac Clinic in Baltimore.
